Some starships are larger than the standard 7x7 hit location grid. To use larger grids pick a multiple of D6's such as 3D6, 4D6, etc., to figure out the hit location chart. Drop the lowest 2 and highest two numbers to provide for glancing blows. This makes larger ships easier to hit (broadside of barn door comes to mind.) For example, using 3D6 for the hit location chart gives a 12x12 grid like this:\\
