When reading a situation to find out what's going on:
On a hit, you can ask the Grandfather questions. Whenever you act on one of the Grandfather’s answers, take +1 forward.
On a miss, ask 1 anyway, but be prepared for the worst.

• On a 10+, ask 3
• On a 7–9, ask 1
  • Where’s my best escape route / way in / way past?
  • Who or what is the biggest threat?
  • Who is willing to talk?
  • What should I be on the lookout for?
  • Who stands to lose/gain the most?
  • Who is in control here?
