BACKGROUND
Race: HumanProfession: ex-soldierRasiel has become disillusioned. Seen too many bloody battles, too much death. Friends and fellow soldiers, dead.Rasiel has born somewhere in Daravel. He never knew his parents. He was found at the doorstep of a working, married couple. Childless, the couple looked upon the child as a gift.As a boy Rasiel was viewed as a bully and few befriended him. Anytime something broke or someone hurt, Rasiel was blamed. Rasiel’s parents defended him, protected him as best they could. They counseled the boy to hide his talent at an early age. People soon forgot warnings Rasiel had given that preceded inclement weather or drought.Becoming restless and thinking the world held greater promise elsewhere, Rasiel left and joined the river barge trade. The body of a young man filled out and soon Rasiel was sought after as a valued member of any barge. Many deals where made between current captain and recruiting captain. Rasiel traveled up and down the Silverrock river and it’s tributaries. Then it was that a town that traded on the river was sacked by forces from Colgrave. The call went out and Rasiel was impressed into service handed a spear and told to march with the regular infantry. The first battle was grim, but riding high on kingdom pride and righteous anger from the attack, Rasiel enlisted. Training and battlefield experience soon brought Rasiel to the attention of his officers. Time and again Rasiel was put in battles and made a member of the spearhead units. Time and again he was wouonded and sent to revciver, train and rejoin a new unit. Rasiel has seen campaigns in Skald, Colgrave and Toreth, even with forces from Khirkovy. The battles and injuries blurred the years. Rasiel began too confuse his growing skill for bloodlust. It seemed easier to defeat opposing forces noty harder. Confused about his place, reflecting on the direction his life was headed, Rasiel knew something was wrong. He was brooding; darkness had a grip on him.Rasiel could not shake the feeling that he was in the wrong place, not doing what he was supposed to be doing. At the next opportunity he mustered out.
PERSONALITY
Rasiel is deeply conflicted about leaving his 'old' life. but can not shake th efeeling that his calling is elsewhere in th eworld. What that is, he has no idea, but he is looking for a great cause or calling.
